The Rose Bowl, Southampton

Home to Hampshire County Cricket Club, the Hampshire Bowl was designed by award-winning architects Michael Hopkins & Partners. The beautiful stadium is shaped like a circular amphitheatre.

The Hampshire Bowl established in 2001, will host its first World Cup match on June 5 that will be played between India and South Africa. The stadium will host two league matches featuring India.

Earlier, two World Cup matches were played in 1983 and 1999 editions at the Old Northlands Road Ground. Southampton has hosted all three formats of cricket. The first Test match here was played between hosts England and Sri Lanka in 2011.

The first ODI was played here between South Africa and Zimbabwe in 2003. This apart, five matches of the 2004 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy were held here.

Fans can reach the venue from Southampton Airport using a free shuttle. Frequent train service ply from London and Weymouth. The shuttle takes barely 15 minutes to reach Hampshire Bowl.
