About Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad, Sind

The Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistan is a cricket ground in Pakistan that has a lot of history embedded in it, but unfortunately today it is in a sorry state and ignore completely by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), resulting in its constant decline. The ground has capacity to hold 15000 people and is situated at the heart of one of the most popular city of Pakistan. The ground has many records to boast of, including the first hat trick in cricket being made at this very ground. The ground also had the honour of hosting the 1000th Test match. The Niaz Stadium is also a stupendously lucky ground for Pakistan. The stadium hosted five Tests between 1973 and 1984. ODIs were held at this stadium from 1982 to 1997. The Niaz Stadium also hosted some matches of the 1987 World Cup. However, a sharp decline started to show and the ground was slowly losing its glory. With a deteriorating outfield and poor facilities, the ground was denied any international match. It has remained in that condition for many years now and unless the PCB takes immediate measures, it seems highly unlikely that this once famous Pakistani cricket ground will ever host a cricket match again.
