A look at Day 2 of the final Test between India and West Indies in numbers.

# West Indies (575/9) have recorded 500 or more for the first time during the last one year.  They had made 580 for nine wickets declared against Sri Lanka at Galle in November 2010.

# West Indies' aforesaid total is their second highest at Wankhede Stadium, next only to the 604 for six wickets declared in January 1975.

# Kirk Edwards (86 off 165 balls) has posted his second highest innings against India in Tests, next only to the 110 at Roseau in July this year.

# Edwards has averaged 57.80 in his first six Tests - 578 in 11 innings, including two hundreds and three fifties.

# Darren Bravo (166 off 284 balls) has recorded his highest innings against India - his second highest in Tests, next only to the 195 against Bangladesh at Dhaka in October 2011.

# Bravo is averaging 52.71 after 13 Tests - 1107, including three centuries and six fifties.

# Kieran Powell (81) has posted his career-best innings in Tests, obliterating the 72 against Bangladesh at Dhaka in October 2011.  These are his only two innings of 50-plus in Tests.

# Edwards and Bravo put on 164 for the third wicket - West Indies' highest against India in India - overall the third highest for the West Indies against India - the highest being 220 between Alvin Kallicharran and Vivian Richards at Bridgetown in March 1976.

# Bravo and Powell have shared a stand of 160 for the fourth wicket - West Indies' highest against India at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

# Bravo's innings of 166 is the third highest against India at Wankhede Stadium - the top two innings being 242 not out by Clive Lloyd in 1974-75 and 187 by Alvin Kallicharran in December 1978.

# Marlon Samuels (61) has posted his fourth fifty against India - his 13th in Tests.

# The top six West Indian batsmen have recorded 50 or more against India - the first such instance for the West Indies and the fifth overall.  Three of the five instances are against India - Pakistan at Lahore in 1989-90; Pakistan at Karachi in 2005-06 and West Indies at Mumbai in 2011-12.

# Ravichandran Ashwin (4/154) has produced his second best bowling performance in Tests, next only to the 6 for 47 at Delhi in the first Test of the present series.

# Ashwin has captured 17 wickets at an average of 27.52 in three Tests - the best bowling performance by an Indian on debut in a three-Test series.

# Ravi Shastri (15 at 18.47 against New Zealand in 1980-81) and Venkatesh Prasad (15 at 25.00 against England in 1996) had taken 15 wickets on debut in a three-Test series.

# Mahendra Singh Dhoni has effected five dismissals in an innings for the fifth time in Tests - the first Indian to perform the feat.

# Dhoni has accomplished the aforesaid feat five times - once each against New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh,  South Africa and the West Indies.
