# West Indies (153) have recorded their lowest total at Eden Gardens - their third lowest in India, next only to the 127 at Feroz Shah Kotla in November 1987 and 151 at Chepauk in January 1979.

# West Indies' lowest total against India is 103 at Kingston in 2006.

# India have taken a first innings lead of 478 - their second highest in Tests - the highest being 492 against Bangladesh at Mirpur in 2006. India (610/3d) had won by an innings and 239 runs against Bangladesh.   

# Shivnarine Chanderpaul (4) has recorded his lowest score at Eden Gardens. In his previous innings at this venue, he had made 140 in October/November 2002.

# Pragyan Ojha took his 50th Test wicket, his victim being Kirk Edwards.

# Umesh Yadav (3/23) has produced his best bowling figures in Tests, eclipsing the 2 for 36 against the West Indies at Feroz Shah Kotla on debut.

# Pragyan Ojha (4/64) has recorded his second best figures in Tests, next only to the 6 for 72 at Feroz Shah Kotla in the first Test of the present series.

# India have enforced a follow on against the West Indies for the fifth time in Tests - the first four instances being Kingston 1970-71, Delhi 1978-79, Wankhede 2002-03 and Gros Islet 2006.

# India have recorded just one victory when they enforced a follow-on against the West Indies  - by an innings and 112 runs at Wankhede Stadium in 2002-03.

# India have enforced a follow-on at Eden Gardens for the second time - the first instance being against England in 1992-93. India had won the Test by eight wickets.

# Adrian Barath (62) has recorded his third Test fifty - his second against India - his first was 64 at Kingston in June this year.

# Kirk Edwards (60) has posted his first Test fifty against India - his second in Tests.

# Edwards' aforesaid innings is his second highest score against India in Tests, next only to the 110 at Roseau in July 2011.
