India beat West Indies in the second Test by a margin of an inning and 15 runs. Here are the statistical highlights of Day 4.

# India have recorded their second win in nine Tests against West Indies at Eden Gardens, Kolkata - their first being by 85 runs in December 1974.  West Indies have won three Tests at this venue - one each in 1958-59, 1966-67  and 1983-84 while the remaining four could not produce results.

# With a 2-0 series triumph, India, for the first time, have registered four successive series wins over West Indies - their previous three series triumphs being 2-0 in 2002-03 in India; 1-0 in 2006 and 1-0 in 2011, both in the West Indies.

# West Indies are without an overseas series win during the last 15 years win against a strong opponent  - their only triumphs being against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.  Their last overseas series win against a major opponent was by 1-0 against New Zealand in February 1995

# India have registered their second win by an innings over the West Indies - the first being by an innings and 112 runs at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in October 2002.

# India's convincing win at Eden Gardens is their 30th by an innings margin in Tests - their third at Eden Gardens - one each against South Africa, Australia and West Indies.

# India have won 14 Tests against West Indies out of 87  played - winning % 16.09 (Lost 30 and Drawn 43).

# Darren Bravo (195) has recorded his second Test hundred - his first against India.

# Bravo has aggregated 735 runs in nine Tests this year a an average of 43.23, including two hundreds - the highest by a West Indian in 2011.

# Marlon Samuels (84) has recorded his second highest against India at Eden Gardens - his highest is 104 in 2002-03.

# Samuels' 12th fifty in Tests is his third against India.

# Shivnarine Chanderpaul, with 47, has taken his tally to 216 at an average of 54.00 in the present series - the highest by a West Indian and the second best, next only to VVS Laxman's 235 at an average of 235.00.

# Bravo and Samuels put on 132 for the fifth wicket - West Indies' second highest against India at Eden Gardens, next only to the 169 between Carl Hooper and Gus Logie in December 1987.

# India's win by an innings and 15 runs is their 75th at home in 231 Tests (Lost 49, Tied 1 and Drawn 106).

# Overall India have won 112 out of 457 played (Lost 143, Tied 1 and Drawn 201) - winning % 24.50.

# Sachin Tendulkar figures in 63 wins - the most by an Indian player.  He is followed by Rahul Dravid (56), VVS Laxman (47), Anil Kumble (43) and Harbhajan Singh (40).

# Tendulkar has scored 20 centuries in a winning cause, followed by Dravid (15), Laxman (7), Sehwag (7), Gavaskar (6) and Azharuddin (5).

# Umesh Yadav (4/80) has produced his best bowling figures in Test Cricket, surpassing the 3 for 23 in the first innings of the Kolkata Test.

# Yadav's figures of 7 for 103 are his best in a Test match.

# West Indies' 463 is their highest total in the second innings of a Test match against India, obliterating the  443 for seven wickets declared at Kanpur in December 1958.

# VVS Laxman has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the sixth time in Tests - his second against West Indies.

# Laxman had first received the Man of the Match award against West Indies for posting 69 not out & 74 at Port of Spain in April 2002.
