One of India's greatest batters, Virat Kohli, is reportedly ready to retire from Test cricket ahead of India's tour of England in June.

As per a report by The Indian Express, Kohli has informed the BCCI that he wants to retire from Test cricket.

However, the BCCI has reportedly urged him to reconsider his decision.

"He's still incredibly fit and hungry. His presence in the dressing room lifts the entire team," a senior BCCI official said on condition of anonymity.

Another report by Times of India states that Kohli had told teammates 'he is done' during India's Border-Gavaskar Trophy loss to Australia.
