Varun Chakravarthy Creates T20I History

India spinner Varun Chakravarthy created history in the recently-concluded T20I series against England.

In five match series, which India won 4-1, Chakravarthy scalped 14 wickets and also bagged the Player of the Series award.

With 14 wickets, he broke his own record of claiming most wickets in bilateral T20I series by an Indian.

Earlier, he took 12 wickets in a four-match T20I series against South Africa in November 2024

Chakravarthy now became the first player in the world to claim two back-to-back 10+ wickets in T20I bilaterals.

With 14 scalps against England, he also claimed the second-highest wickets in a T20I series.

The top spot has been taken by West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, who took 15 wickets in bilateral against England.
