Shooter Swapnil Kusale clinched India's first ever Olympic bronze in 50m rifle 3 positions.

28-year-old Swapnil achived the feat on August 1 during the ongoing Paris Olympics.

Swapnil shot an aggregate of 451.4 in the eight-shooter final to finish third after being placed sixth at one stage.

"I did not eating anything, was feeling the butterflies (in my stomach)," he said after his unprecedented achievement.

It took India's overall tally to three, all bronze in shooting, at the Paris Games.

Swapnil's medal comes following the stunning performances of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh.

Manu clinched bronze in women's 10m air pistol, while she and Sarabjot Singh clinched mixed 10m air  pistol bronze.
