During his spell of 7/59, Sundar bowled five batters, the joint-most by an Indian bowler in a men's Test innings.

His teammate Ravindra Jadeja is the only other bowler with five or more bowled wickets in a men's Test innings since 2003.

Sundar is only the 6th bowler to take seven or more wickets on the opening day of a men's Test for India.
