Mandhana Breaks Kohli's 12-Year-Old Record

Despite being on the losing, India opener Smriti Mandhana achieved a historic feat with her 125-run knock.

Mandhana brought up her ton in just 50 balls and registered the fastest century by an Indian (both men and women) in ODIs.

With this, she broke the record set by star batter Virat Kohli with a 52-ball century against Australia in 2013.

This was also the second-fastest century in the history of women's ODIs.

Australia's Meg Lanning holds the top spot with a 45-ball century against New Zealand in 2012.

Apart from this, Mandhana also registered the joint second-highest number of tons (13) in women's ODIs. Lanning is at the top with 15 tons.
