Sudharsan Surpasses Sachin To Become...

Asked to bat first, GT posted a whopping total of 224/6 with Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler scoring 76 and 64 runs respectively.

Later, SRH put up a good fight but GT restricted them to 186/6 and won the match by 38 runs.

During the match, GT opener Sai Sudharsan, who scored 48 off 23 balls, achieved a historic feat.

He completed his 2000 T20 runs in just 54 innings. He is now the fastest Indian to achieve this feat.

Sudharsan surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's record, who completed his 2000 in his 59 innings.

Overall, Sudharsan is second fastest player in the world to claim this feat. Australia's Shaun Marsh achieved it in 53 innings.
