Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has signed a record-breaking lucrative contract with Premier League champions Manchester City.

The 24-year-old has signed a 9.5-year new deal, tying him to Man City till 2034.

It is the longest contract in Premier League history, surpassing Cole Palmer's current 9-year deal with Chelsea.

Haaland will also reportedly earn around 500,000 GBP per week - around Rs 5.28 crore each week.

Media reports state that Haaland will become the first player in Premier League history to earn more than 500,000 GBP per week.

Haaland has scored 111 goals in 126 games for City, helping the club to a treble in his first season.
