Yashasvi Jaiswal: 7

Two superb fifties (82 & 84), but his rating comes down due to three crucial dropped catches.

Rohit Sharma (c): 2

The skipper flopped with the bat again, and drew criticism due to a defensive approach while fielding.

KL Rahul: 3

Rare bad game for Rahul in this series. Got out in the first innings after looking good for his 24, and scored a duck in the second innings.

Virat Kohli: 3

Flattered to deceive yet again. Couldn't convert a good start to a big score, and continues to struggle against balls outside the off-stump.

Rishabh Pant (wk): 4

Poor shot-selection in crucial situations undid good starts in both innings for Pant.

Ravindra Jadeja: 5

Did well with the ball, but could not contribute with the bat despite a promotion to No. 6.

Nitish Reddy: 9

A stunning maiden Test century, under huge pressure, was probably the highlight of the entire game.

Washington Sundar: 7

Gritty with the bat, including a first innings 50. Underutilised with the ball.

Jasprit Bumrah: 9

Wow. Nine wickets in the game, taking his series tally to 30. Unplayable, on many occasions.

Akash Deep: 4

Only two wickets all game, blowing hot and cold. Lacked bite when Australia were in command.

Mohammed Siraj: 4

Hapless in the first innings (0/122) but improved a lot in the second to take three big Aussie wickets.
