Here's a list of some big overseas players who are likely to go unsold at the auctions.

1. Steve Smith

The veteran Australia batter once dominated the IPL with his match-winning knocks. However, his impact now faded and he is likely to go unsold.

2. Kane Williamson

The Kiwi batter led Sunrisers Hyderabad and later played for Gujarat Titans. However, his injuries made it difficult for teams to use him.

3. Keshav Maharaj 

Maharaj joined Rajasthan Royals as an injury replacement in 2024. Despite giving a good performance, he is likely to go unsold.

4. James Anderson 

Recently-retired Anderson registered himself for the IPL for the first time. However, being 42 years old, he might not attract buyers. 

5. Joe Root

Root was a part of Rajasthan Royals' squad in 2023 but he opted out in 2024. A big name in Test cricket, he is likely to go unsold at auctions.
