India won a record 29 medals at Paralympics 2024, and the medalists will be handsomely rewarded.

Gold medalists Avani Lekhara, Sumit Antil, Nitesh Kumar, Harvinder Singh, Dharambir Nain, Praveen Kumar and Navdeep Singh will receive Rs 75 lakh each.

Rs 50 lakh will be awarded to silver medalists, while Rs 30 lakh will be given to bronze medalists.

Mixed team medalists like archer Sheetal Devi will receive Rs 22.5 lakh.

Earlier, Olympics 2024 bronze medalist Manu Bhaker had also been awarded Rs 30 lakh by the Sports ministry.

Mixed team shooting medalist Sarabjot Singh also received the same as Sheetal Devi: Rs 22.5 lakh.

It seems like the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has decided to equally reward the Olympics and Paralympics medalists.
