West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran recently achieved a big feat.

In a Caribbean Premier League match, Pooran smashed 9 sixes and registered the most T20 maximums in a calendar year.

So far in 2024, Pooran, who plays for Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL, has completed a whopping total of 139 sixes.

With this, Pooran surpassed his former West Indies teammate and legendary batter Chris Gayle's record.

Gayle was holding the record of most T20 sixes in a calendar year. He had hit 135 sixes in 2015.
