This was the second lowest target ever defended by any team in the history of the T20 World Cup.

The lowest target in the history of the T20 WC was also defended by the Proteas. They defended 114 vs Bangladesh, earlier in this tournament.

In 2014, Sri Lanka defended the target of 120 against New Zealand, which is the joint-third lowest.
