India's Squad vs WI: Major Ins And Outs

India's squad for two-match Test series against West Indies was announced on September 25. The series will begin from October 2.

Shubman Gill continued as the captain while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was named as the vice-captain.

Batter Devdutt Padikkal has also been named in the squad. His last appearance for India came in November 2024 against Australia.

Uncapped batter Abhimanyu Easwaran, who mostly gets a spot in the squad but is yet to make his debut, also fails to make the cut.

Lastly, pacer Mohammed Shami was snubbed again. BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar stated that he was not aware about his fitness levels.
