Gayle smashed the fastest T20 ton in 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Pune Warriors India in IPL 2013.

Estonia batter Sahil Chauhan broke Gayle's record with a century off just 27 balls. He achieved this feat in an international game against hosts Cyprus in Episkopi.

It was also the fastest T20I ton, surpassing Jan-Nicol Loftie Eaton's record, which came off 33 balls and lasted less than four months.

Chauhan also made it to the top of the table for most sixes in a men's T20I innings as he smashed a total of 18 sixes.

The second most sixes in a men's T20I innings were hit by Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai, who smashed 16 sixes against Ireland.
