Indian Openers With Most Runs In Away Tests

With his 87-run knock, Rahul achieved a historic feat as he completed his 508* runs in the ongoing series.

With 500 runs in the series, Rahul became only the second Indian opener to achieve this feat in an away Test series.

The highest score by an India opener in an away Test series was registered by Sunil Gavaskar, who scored 774 against West Indies in 1971.

The second highest score has also been registered by him with 542 runs against England in 1979.
