At the age of 37, Rohit will get to captain India in what is likely his final Test series Down Under.

Now 36, Kohli is also unlikely to play a Test series again in a country where he has hit 6 Test tons so far.

3. R Ashwin
Ashwin is India's highest-wicket taker in BGT Tests, but he is presently the oldest player in the India Test squad.

4. Ravindra Jadeja
Ashwin's spin partner Jadeja will be 36 by the time this series ends, and a return beyond 2027 seems unlikely.
