In the first two matches, India's batting order miserably failed to deliver. So, here's a report card analysis of the Indian batters.

1. Rohit Sharma (D Grade)

The India skipper had a horrible outing with the bat as he scored only 62 runs in four innings.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal (B Grade)

The young opener delivered as per the expectations. In four innings, he scored 155 runs, which include one half-century.

3. Shubman Gill (C Grade)

The young batter missed the first Test due to a stiff neck. In the second match, he scored 30 and 23 runs.

4. Virat Kohli (C Grade) 

The star batter had a mediocre outing again, scoring only 88 runs in four innings. This also includes a 70-run knock in the first match.

5. KL Rahul (D Grade)

After a poor outing in the first match, Rahul was benched for the second game. He scored only 12 runs in two innings.

6. Sarfaraz Khan (B Grade)

The batter was roped in as a replacement of Gill in the 1st match. He scored an impressive 150, followed by 11 and 9 in the 2nd match.

7. Rishabh Pant (B Grade)

The wicketkeeper-batter had picked up a knee injury but batted in all four innings. He scored a total of 137 runs, which include a 99-run knock.
