ICC Violations That Put PCB In Trouble

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may have landed themselves in hot water with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The ICC are likely to take action against Pakistan over "violation of multiple tournament rules" prior to their Asia Cup 2025 match against UAE, reports PTI.

The Pakistan vs UAE match had to be delayed by 1 hour, with the PCB unhappy over ICC match referee Andy Pycroft not being removed despite their demand.

Pycroft later spoke to the Pakistan captain and team manager, but the filming of the conversation has brought further scrutiny on Pakistan.

As per PTI, Pakistan breached the rules by allowing a media manager to film the meeting between Pycroft and the Pakistan team.

The ICC had reportedly made it clear that media managers were barred from such meetings.

"This demonstrated a complete disregard for the sanctity of the layers and Match Officials Area (PMOA)," said a source, as per PTI.

The ICC was also seemingly unbeknownst to how the footage of the meeting would be used, with it being heavily circulated on social media later.
