How Can Pakistan Qualify For WTC Final?

Pakistan faced a shocking 10-wicket defeat against Bangladesh in the first Test of the two-match series.

It was Bangladesh's first-ever win against Pakistan in red-ball cricket.

Apart from this heartbreak, Pakistan were also docked six World Test Championship (WTC) points for slow over rate.

The Shan Masood-led side was found guilty of being six overs short during the encounter and as a result, the ICC decided to dock six points.

On the other hand, Bangladesh were also found guilty of slow over rate and they lost three WTC points and were docked 15 per cent of the match fee.

Despite having a low win percentage of 22.22, Pakistan still got a chance to reach the WTC finals.

Pakistan need to win all of their remaining fixtures, i.e. against England, West Indies, and South Africa.

However, if India win 8 out of their 10 Tests, then Pakistan are likely to miss out on the WTC final spot.
