Babar-Masood Shatter Multiple Records

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood and Babar Azam registered big Test records on Day 3 of the 2nd Test against South Africa.

After Pakistan were imposed a follow-on, Masood (102*) and Babar (81) brought the visitors back into the game by forming a long 205-run partnership.

This was the highest partnership by any opening pair during a follow-on.

It was also Pakistan's highest opening partnership in a Test match against South Africa.

The duo surpassed the record of 137, set by Imran Farhat and Taufeeq Umar in 2003.

With his unbeaten 102-run knock, Masood became the first Pakistan captain to score a Test century in South Africa.

Before Masood, Salim Malik was dismissed for 99 in Johannesburg in 1995.
