With this 125-run victory, Afghanistan became the 2nd team to register a victory by 100+ run margin twice in T20 World Cup.

Earlier in 2021, Afghanistan defeated Scotland by 190 runs.

Apart from them, South Africa have also won two matches in the WC with 100+ run margins. They have defeated Scotland and Bangladesh in 2009 and 2022 respectively.

Talking about overall records, only four teams have register wins with 100+ run margins in T20 WCs.

The other teams are Sri Lanka, who defeated Kenya in 2007 while the other one is England, who defeated Afghanistan in 2012.
