Abhishek Breaks Massive World Record

India opener Abhishek Sharma achieved a historic feat during the fifth T20I of the five-match series against Australia in Brisbane.

Abhishek Sharma reached the 1,000-run milestone in T20 Internationals and claimed two big records.

He achieved the world record for the fastest in terms of balls (528) faced and becoming the fastest Indian to reach the mark in terms of matches.

Abhishek shattered the previous global record, which belonged to Australia's Tim David, who reached 1,000 runs in 569 balls.

In comparison, India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav previously held second place, having taken 573 balls.

However, Abhishek narrowly missed out on breaking a record held by Virat Kohli, who reached the 1,000-run mark in 27 innings from 29 matches.
