5 Names Snubbed From BCCI Central Contract


BCCI central contracts for the 2025-26 cycle were announced on February 9 and it brought many changes.

The Grade A+ category was scrapped and the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were demoted to Grade B.

However, there were big names who were dropped from the central contract list.

1. Mohammed Shami

The star pacer, who has been ignored by the selectors since the Champions Trophy 2025, did not find a place in the contract list.

2. Ishan Kishan

The wicketkeeper-batter, who is currently having a good time in the T20I set up, was dropped as he did not play for India in 2025.

3. Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz made his international debut in 2024. However, he did not feature in a single international match in the evaluation period.

4. Mukesh Kumar

Just like Sarfaraz, pacer Mukesh Kumar also did not play any international game during the evaluation period.

5. Rajat Patidar

Making his international debut in 2023, Patidar's last appearance for Team India came in February 2024.
