Team India suffered a major setback as opener Shikhar Dhawan, century scorer in the last match against Australia in the World Cup 2019, was ruled out for at least three weeks with thumb fracture. Dhawan was hit by a ball from Nathan Coulter-Nile during his brilliant century against Australia at The Oval on Sunday. He was in pain but continued to bat with a tapped thumb. During the Australia innings, it was Ravindra Jadeja who took the field for Dhawan. The southpaw had notched up 16 boundaries in his 109-ball 117 runs knock against Australia at the Oval in London.
