The International Cricket Council was forced to shift India's T20 World Cup match against Pakistan out of Dharamsala due to security reasons. After threats to its team, Pakistan justifiably refused to travel to the Dharamsala. On providing security to the Pakistanis, the Congress-led Himachal Pradesh state government did not co-operate with the Indian cricket Board, whose secretary, Anurag Thakur, is from BJP. The ICC called it a complex issue, but the common fan who bought tickets to the match has suffered due to some dirty politics that was played out behind the scenes. An NDTV discussion.
