New Delhi:

Rafael Nadal is from Mallorca, Spain and is just 22, he was born on June 3, 1986.

He is playing his third Wimbledon final. Due to his dominance on the clay-court, he is hailed as the king of clay. He has won 28 matches at the French Open and is ranked world number two.

Nadal remains the main threat to world number 1 Roger Federer. He has deprived Federer of the only Grand Slam title, French Open.

His performance on grass has been improving with every passing year. It can be determined by the fact that for the past three years, he's been challenging Federer in Wimbledon finals. In 2007, he stretched the final to the fifth set.

Nadal won the French Open on debut - first since Mats Wilander of Sweden. He also equaled the Bjorn Borg's record of four consecutive Roland Garros title.
