Gold Coast, Australia:

World No 29 Samantha Stosur has withdrawn from the Australian team for this weekend's Fed Cup tennis tie against the Ukraine because of a mystery virus.

Stosur's place in the Australian side has been taken by 101-ranked Casey Dellacqua who joins Alicia Molik and Nicole Pratt for the tie, played on hardcourts at the Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast in Queensland state.

"She's a big loss - (Australia's) No 1 singles player and No 1 doubles player," Australian captain David Taylor said.

"We've still got a team that can win."

Taylor said the exact nature of Stosur's illness was not known.

"It's really worrying for her," he said.

"I spoke to her last night (and) she's really upset.

"She had someone from a hospital in London come to Wimbledon yesterday from the infectious disease unit so it's some virus that they don't know.

"It's kind of like the symptoms of measles but they're not saying it's measles."
