Spain beat France to reach Davis Cup Final

Alicante: 18 year-old Rafael Nadal sent Spain through to the Davis Cup final on Sunday, following a straight sets victory over Arnaud Clement of France in Alicante. Nadal's 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 victory in two hours and 12 minutes gave Spain an unbeatable 3-1 lead in the best-of-five tie, Juan Carlos Ferrero and the doubles pairing of Nadal and Tommy Robredo having given the home side a 2-1 overnight lead. The United States will be their opponents in December's final, with Spain retaining home advantage. (AP)
