Somdev faces Prakash in Aus Open qualifier

Aiming to make the main draw, Somdev Devavrman will clash with Prakash Amritraj in the first round of the qualifying event of the Australian Open.

Aiming to make the main draw of Australian Open, Somdev Devavrman on Wednesday will clash with compatriot Prakash Amritraj in the first round of the qualifying event of the first Grand Slam of the year.

Somdev, who put up a stellar show at Chennai Open by reaching the finals, has been seeded 28 in the draw of 128.

As 16 players will make the men's singles event from the qualifying event, only one Indian can advance either Somdev or Prakash.
