Kolkata: Threats from Muslim extremist groups had ensured a huge security cordon for the tennis ace Sania Mirza. They had objected to the flashy T-shirts and skirts that the World number 34 wears while on court. But while threats from the extremists may not have been distracting her, her family feels she needed to concentrate harder during practice sessions. Sania says injuries had not allowed her to work on her serve, but that was going to change now. And the effect would be visible soon. Her first round loss in Bali had once again fuelled speculation about her being inconsistent. But true to her character Sania had an answer for this as well. "You think I was inconsistent? I pushed my ranking fro 140s to 30s. People should accept that I will lose some matches and win some," she said. Best shot However Sania will need the same kind of consistency if she is to repeat her great performance in Hyderabad earlier this year. The 18-year-old starts her Sunfeast campaign with an easy first round match versus a qualifier. Sania kept the media away from her practice session and neither did the fans get to catch a glimpse of her. The Hyderabad hurricane says that she wants to give her best shot in this tournament.
