Sania Mirza's good run at the Acura Classic has come to an end.

San Diego:

Sania Mirza's good run at the Acura Classic has come to an end. The Indian teenager, who crashed out in the singles to Russia's Elena Dementieva, is now out of the doubles too. Sania Mirza and her South African partner Liezel Huber lost to the German-American pair of Anna Lena Groenefeld and Meghan Shaughnessey in the quarterfinals. Mirza and Huber, who won the Bangalore Doubles earlier this year, lost in straight sets of 6-2, 7-5. But though her run at the tournament is over, 19-year-old Sania's show in the doubles version of the game has been quite impressive. The Hyderabadi reached a career high doubles ranking of 31.
