Teenaged tennis sensation Sania Mirza today touched a career-high ranking of 72, climbing one spot, in the latest WTA rankings released today.

Teenaged tennis sensation Sania Mirza today touched a career-high ranking of 72, climbing one spot, in the latest WTA rankings released today. The star player, who has got a wild card to play in the French Open, is recovering from an ankle injury, which forced her to miss India's campaign in the recent Fed Cup tennis tournament. The 18-year-old, who turned professional in 2003, is fast catching up with Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn who is ranked 68. Sania has a win-loss record of 10-4 this year with career prize money earnings of $1,29,109. (PTI)
