Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza defeated Katie O'brien of Australia 6-4 6-1 to enter the quarterfinals of the $10,000 ITF Womens Tournament.

In a fine display of quality tennis, Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza defeated Katie O'brien of Australia 6-4 6-1 to enter the quarterfinals of the $10,000 ITF Womens Tournament being played at London. Scuttling the little resistance shown by her Australian opponent (ranked 565), Sania won the first set, 6-4, and went on to wrap the second with relative ease. In doubles, Sania Mirza and Rushmi Chakraborty paired well to defeat Megan Molten Lney (USA) and Letra Giltinall (Australia) 6-2 7-5 to enter the quarter finals. (PTI)
