Hyderabad:
Sania Mirza, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to her right knee last week, was on Sunday discharged from a local hospital after making "satisfactory" progress. "Sania was examined by doctors this morning and was found to be recovering satisfactorily," a release from Apollo Hospitals at Jubilee Hills said. The Indian star has been ruled out of action for at least four weeks after injuring her knee during a match in Qatar Open on Monday. Medical tests have revealed a stretched ACL but no tear, meaning the 20-year-old would not need surgery. Sania, India's only WTA Tour title winner, has been advised a rehabilitation regimen involving physiotherapy and would be reassessed after four weeks.Topics mentioned in this article
