Paes-Damm in men's doubles final

Leander Paes and his Czech partner Martin Damm on Friday moved into the finals of the men's doubles at the US Open.

Leander Paes and his Czech partner Martin Damm on Friday moved into the finals of the men's doubles at the US Open. The sixth seed Indo-Czech pair beat the fourth-seeded pair of Paul Hanley (Australia) and Kevin Ullyett (Zimbabwe) 6-7, 7-6, 7-5. Paes and Damm will take on the second-seeded pair of Jonas Bjorkman (Sweden) and Max Mirnyi (Belarus) in the finals. Bjorkman and Mirnyi registered an easy 6-1, 6-4 win over the unseeded Aussie-American pair of Ashley Fisher and Tripp Phillips in the first semifinal.
