Nalbandian advances to final eight

Melbourne: Eighth-seeded David Nalbandian won his fourth-round match, beating fellow Argentine Guillermo Canas 6-4 6-2 6-1. Nalbandian, who lost the 2002 Wimbledon final to Hewitt, hasn't dropped a set in four matches. He set up match point with a precision drop shot from the baseline and clinched it in 1 hour, 44 minutes with a backhand winner off Canas' serve. Canas had rallied from two sets down to overcome 11th-seeded Tim Henman - winning 9-7 in the fifth set - in the third round and looked tired against Nalbandian. "I feel great, I played a great match," said Nalbandian. "He was tired from the last match, but I played really good." In the men's quarterfinals draws decided so far Andy Roddick faces Marat Safin while Andre Agassi plays Sebastien Grosjean. (AP)
