Nadal pulls out of Aus Open

World Number 2 Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the Australian Open because of a foot injury.

World Number 2 Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the Australian Open because of a foot injury. 19-year-old Nadal, who won his first major title at last year's French Open, would have been seeded second. Nadal played for 40 minutes with Gustavo Kuerten to ascertain his fitness. He beat Kuerten but decided that he was still in no shape to play at the Australian Open. Nadal hasn't played for over two months now because of his injury. He also skipped the Chennai Open.
