Sania Mirza playing her first singles match since losing to Martina Hingis in Dubai is through to the third round at the Indian Wells tournament.

Sania Mirza playing her first singles match since losing to Martina Hingis in Dubai is through to the third round at the Indian Wells tournament. Mirza, whose ranking is down to 45, beat qualifier Bethanie Mattek ranked 78th in the world 6-2, 3-6, 7-5. A tough test awaits the Indian now, as she's up against the World No 8 Elena Dementieva in the third round.
