Federer beats Bopanna

World number one Roger Federer beat Rohan Bopanna 7-6, 6-2 at the Gerry Weber tournament in Halle on Wednesday.

New Delhi: World Number one Roger Federer got a taste of some Indian tennis talent when he took on Rohan Bopanna at the Gerry Weber tournament in Halle on Wednesday. Playing on grass, Bopanna put up a fight in the first set taking it to the tie break, but Federer then overpowered him in the second and won the match 7-6, 6-2. Bopanna would next be playing to qualify for the Wimbledon starting June 26.
