Adelaide: Former Australian Open finalist Arnaud Clement and South African Wayne Ferreira head the entries for the ATP season-opening AAPT Championship later this month. Clement ranked 38 and Ferreira (39) are among the entries announced today for the lead-up tournament to the Australian Open. Sweden's Thomas Enqvist (44) returns to Adelaide where he beat current world number one Lleyton Hewitt in the final to claim the title four years ago before losing to Hewitt in the final the following year. Other entrants in the December 30 - January 5 event include big-serving Dutchman Richard Krajicek (112), who made the quarterfinals at Wimbledon this year in his comeback tournament after a 20-month absence with knee and elbow injuries. American youngster Taylor Dent (57) will also play in Adelaide. Dent has a strong Australian connection, as he is the son of former Australian Davis Cup player Phil Dent and is coached by Australian Paul Kilderry. Belarussian Max Mirnyi (43) and Switzerland's Marc Rosset (102) are among the other entrants. (PTI)
