London:

Former French Open champion Carlos Moya, as well as fellow claycourt specialists Juan Monaco and Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina, have pulled out of next week's Wimbledon because of injury.

Moya, a former world number one who is now ranked at 24, told the All England Club that he has a shoulder injury.

The 31-year-old Spaniard has only played on the Wimbledon grasscourts twice in six years and was a first round casualty in 2007.

Monaco, the world nunber 20 who has never won a match at Wimbledon, has a back injury while compatriot Chela, the world 45, has been ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Chela reached the second round in 2007.

Wimbledon organisers said on Monday that Martin Vassallo Arguello of Argentina, Croatia's Roko Karanusic and Brian Dabul, also of Argentina, will replace the trio in the main draw.

In the women's event, Japan's Akiko Morigami has pulled out with a knee injury and will be replaced by the Czech Republic's Renato Voracova.
