The Indian presence at the Chennai Open got bigger with Prakash Amritraj/Somdev Devvarman and Yuki Bhambri/Harsh Mankad pairs receiving wild cards for the main draw of the doubles event.

"IMG in consultation with AITA has decided to offer the Indian pair of Yuki Bhambri and Harsh Mankad the wild card. The combine of India's number one and two ranked players Somdev Devvarman and Prakash Amritraj have received the second wild card," said a press release.

Delhi teen Yuki has had an exceptional run as he ends the year as world number two junior player following victories at Osaka Mayor's Cup at Japan and the Orange Bowl at USA.

"I am pretty thrilled to participate at Chennai Open 2009. Post my win at the Orange bowl I am keenly looking forward to make a mark at the Chennai Open," Yuki said.

"We are very happy to offer wild cards to these bright talents from India in the doubles draw and are confident that with the presence of Indian tennis legends like Mahesh and Leander and international stars like Davydenko, Wawrinka, amongst others, they will rise up to the challenge and showcase their talent," Fernando Soler, Tournament Director, said.
