Chennai Open: Amritraj gets wildcard entry

Prakash Amritraj has been given a main draw wildcard entry for the 2006 Chennai Open to be held next month.

Prakash Amritraj has been given a main draw wildcard entry for the 2006 Chennai Open to be held next month. It is the third time in a row that Amritraj has been given the wild card for the US$ 385,000 prize money event. Prakash is currently ranked 289th in the world and this will his third wildcard for the Open. The event is India's first ATP event and the opener for the 2006 tennis season. Amritraj had an eventful 2005 reaching the Final of a Challenger Event at Forest Hills and was also a part of India's Davis Cup team.
