Kristof Vliegen of Belgium beat third-seeded Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 6-1, 6-2 on Saturday to reach the final of the BMW Open.

Munich: Kristof Vliegen of Belgium beat third-seeded Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 6-1, 6-2 on Saturday to reach the final of the BMW Open. He will be playing for his first title on Sunday against compatriot and fifth-seeded Olivier Rochus, who defeated Austria's Jurgen Melzer 6-4, 6-7 (1), 6-3. The 50th-ranked Vliegen mixed visits to the net with drop shots to win in 68 minutes at the clay-court event and qualify for his second career final. (AP)
