Bhupathi-Mirnyi win Madrid doubles

Second seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi lifted the doubles title in the 2.45-million dollar ATP Masters Series in Madrid, Spain.

Madrid: Second seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi lifted the doubles title in the 2.45-million dollar ATP Masters Series in Madrid, Spain. Bhupathi and Mirnyi beat Zimbabweans Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 in the final. The Indo-Belarussian pair had defeated Spaniard Albert Costa and Martin Verkerk of the Netherlands 7-6 (7/5), 4-6, 6-2 in the semifinals. (PTI)
